Gas rebate cards offer lots of great benefits for users when it comes to driving, but how about dining out? The ExxonMobil Citi card now has a special offer for both existing cardholders and new cardholders. Whether your a new card member or you have been a member for years, you just have to register for the promotion and then your ready to begin. If you like to dine out then this offer is for you. The promotion rewards members for doing something they already do – buying gasoline!

Beginning September 1, 2010, ExxonMobil cardholders have the opportunity to earn a $50 dining certificate from restaurant.com. The certificate can be redeemed online at restaurant.com and you can choose from 15,000 different dining locations nationwide.

Update: The Discover Open Road card now offers a $75 Restaurant.com gift certificate. For details, visit Discover’s Open Road application page.

If you are not an ExxonMobil cardholder you can still participate and even earn more. All you have to do is apply for the card and get approved before November 30, 2010. New cardholders get an extra bonus by being awarded a $100 dining certificate. You still have to purchase 100 gallons of gasoline within 90 days so the earlier you apply the better.

    • David

James, is the problem that when you click on the link in the article, it doesn’t work? Or is the problem that once you go to the site, you are unable to register?

  • Thomas V. Juneau

I’ve tried the above suggestions and have reset cookies in the privacy part of internet options. Couldn’t exxonmobil make this a bit easier?

  • Mark

Registration does not work … clicked on link … entered my data … and the message I get back is “The data that you entered does not match our records. Please provide the correct information and retry.” Not sure what I am doing wrong

you may be only entering the last four numbers on the card. You have four sets of numbers each four numbers. You must enter the last number on set three and then the last set of numbers. Five total numbers entered. This may help. Almost made that mistake. Try that and see if it works.

  • Wanda G. Bennett

This started on 9-1-10 and we did not get the inflrmation until October 6or 7. We had bought quite bit of gas before that time. It should count toward the 100 gallons of gas!

  • David

As you can see from the comments below, there have been a lot of complaints about the Exxon/Mobil website not working properly. If you are interested in this offer, we suggest contacting Citi directly rather than using the website.

Can this offer be used with business exxonmobil cardholders?

it may be that you are entering only the last four numbers on the card. You must enter 5 numbers, this would be the last number in the 3rd set of numbers and then the last set of numbers. This is five numbers total. It worked for me. I caught myself only entering the last four numbers instead of five. It worked when i entered five numbers.

  • mike

tried to do this and it is ‘not accepting’ at this time-but you got my email, so I guess you got what you wanted, I HATE THE BS THAT GOES ON with companies like E/M who make offers that you have to jump through hoops and it STILL does not work.

  • Homer Coon

You certainly cash my checks for gas and the cc number works fine!!! Why does the registration not recognize???? Maybe Texaco has a form that works!?! Dont offer something you cannot provide !!!!! Gas is Gas you know

  • Donald Berman

You spent a lot of money printing cards inviting sign-up for the program, but it does not work. Might want to spend a bit more and fix the problem since it seems I am not the only one experiencing the problem.
