Discover It® Miles Card

The Discover It® Miles Card is a 1.5x rewards card. It offers 1.5 miles for every dollar you spend. Discover doesn’t pay a welcome bonus, but it does offer Discover Match. Discover matches the miles you earn at the end of the first year. Say you spend $10,000 on your card in the first year. That would mean you earn 15,000 miles. Discover then doubles these miles, so that you earned 30,000 miles.

Miles are worth about a penny each no matter how you redeem them. This can be a benefit, if you don’t want to spend a lot of time squeezing every last bit of value out of your rewards. On the other hand, you can’t squeeze any more value out of your rewards. One quirk of this card is that even though it’s ostensibly a travel card, it doesn’t offer any travel benefits. We dive into the details and your approval odds in this Discover It Miles review.
