The OpenSky Plus Secured Visa® Credit Card is a secured card designed for those with poor credit. Those who are unbanked may find this card useful, as it’s one of the few secured cards that doesn’t require a linked bank account. There is no credit check to apply, but you must put down a deposit of at least $300, and this amount will be your credit limit. The card reports to all three credit bureaus.
The only difference between this card and OpenSky® Secured Visa® Credit Card is that this card doesn’t have an annual fee and requires a slightly higher deposit. The interest rate is sky-high, though, and although OpenSky will consider you for an unsecured card after six months of responsible use, OpenSky doesn’t have any great options for an upgrade. We dive into the details in this OpenSky Plus review.
