The U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card offers a high rewards rate for regular travelers and frequent flyers. The card allows holders to earn 2x – 5x in rewards in select categories. While it does come with an annual fee, the rewards can more than make up for that over time. This card also comes with an intro offer.

Who is the Altitude Connect best for?

The U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card is a good option for frequent travelers who want a card that pays competitive rewards and effective September 9, 2024, the annual fee is $0.

Who would do better with a different card?

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card offers a better intro offer and possibly higher travel rewards if you book travel through Chase Travel(SM). Doing that makes your points worth 25% more, or you can transfer your points to Chase partners like Southwest and United to get rewards on flights.

Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card offers a similar intro offer, plus up to 3X miles on travel and 2X miles on dining and supermarkets, but it comes with a $350 annual fee.

Travelers and others who spend a lot of money on eating out might like the American Express® Gold Card. You’ll earn 4X points at restaurants, 4X points at supermarkets, and $120 in Uber cash. There’s also an intro offer, but you’ll need to pay the $325 annual fee.
