Bread Cashback™ American Express® Credit Card

August 29, 2022 by Gail Kellner

The Bread Cashback™ American Express® Credit Card offers 2% cash back on purchases without any categories to keep track of or limits on how much you can earn. It’s a great card for those who pay their balances every month and don’t want to keep track of various categories. It offers more flexibility than some cards, as you can take your 2% rewards as a direct deposit or as a statement credit, and it has no annual fee. There is no welcome bonus, however, so that’s a bit of a bummer. We dive into the details and your approval odds in this Bread Cash Back review.

What Credit Score Is Required to Get the Bread Cash Back

Based on data we’ve collected from public forums, a credit score of at least 670 or higher is ideal. We have seen an approval with a score as low as 613, but keep in mind that credit card issuers consider more than just your credit score when evaluating a credit card application.

The following credit score data are based on publicly available information we have collected from various forums. We have no way to confirm the accuracy of this data. In addition, keep in mind that credit card issuers use a number of factors in their underwriting process, and these factors can change at any time.
