Our Take
The Cash+ Visa offers some of the highest cash back rewards on travel purchases. The reward structure is not simple. It includes multiple rewards categories and even multiple rotating categories. But the end result is a card that pays excellent cash back.
Its combination of a welcome bonus, 0% intro APR and no annual fee earn it a high rating.
How Does the Cash+ Visa Compare?
The Cash+ Visa competes well against other cash back cards. Its 5% cash back on travel through U.S. Bank's Rewards Travel Center makes it an excellent travel card. And its cash back on select rotating categories of your choosing makes it a contender for an everyday credit card.
Who is the Cash+ Visa best for?
The Cash+ Visa is best for those who travel in the U.S. frequently and are willing to purchase travel through the Rewards Travel Center.
Who would do better with a different card?
If you don't travel frequently or don't want to use the Rewards Travel Center, this card is not for you. It's also not ideal for those looking for a card with a simple rewards structure. And those with less than good credit should look elsewhere.
The card is also not suited for those who frequently travel overseas. It charges a foreign transaction fee, which is odd for a card that pays higher reward rates for travel.
What Credit Score is Required to Get the Cash+ Visa
Based on data we’ve collected from public forums, a credit score of about 670 or higher is needed to get approved for this card. A score of 700 or higher is ideal. We have seen one approval with a score as low as 676, but keep in mind that credit card issuers consider more than just your credit score when evaluating a credit card application.
