How does the U.S. Bank Secured card compare?

The U.S. Secured Visa offers up to 5% cash back on some purchases, which is very generous for a secured credit card. It doesn’t have an annual fee, although you need to put down a security deposit equal to your credit limit. There is also no annual fee. This makes the U.S Bank Secured card an excellent choice for anyone looking to rebuild their credit history.

Who is the U.S. Bank Secured card best for?

The U.S. Bank Secured Visa is an excellent card for those who are trying to establish or rebuild their credit and want a card that offers cash back on purchases.

Who would do better with a different card?

If you want to open a bank account as well, consider the Chime Credit Builder Visa Secured Card. You’ll get a spending account with no interest charged, which could save you money. If you don’t want to put down a security deposit at all, consider the Petal 1 Visa Card. It also allows you earn cash back on some purchases, although the APR can be high.

What Credit Score is Required to Get the U.S. Bank Secured

Based on data we’ve collected from public forums, a credit score of 690 or higher is ideal. We have seen an approval with a score as low as 672, but keep in mind that credit card issuers consider more than just your credit score when evaluating a credit card application.
