Chase is currently offering some great signup bonuses and ongoing rewards on its Ink line of business credit cards. These cards are a good choice for business owners at any time but now is a particularly good time to apply if you haven’t already. Here’s how the Chase Ink business cards compare.
Chase Ink cards come in four flavors. Three of them pay rewards in cash; one in points. Well, sorta. Three enable you to earn Chase Ultimate Rewards that can be converted to cash or used for travel; and one, while it does earn Ultimate Rewards, you can’t transfer those rewards to other cards. Two have no annual fee, and the other two do. The Chase card best for your business will depend on how you’ll use it. And in some cases, it may make sense to get two Chase Ink cards.
Here are the details:
Chase Ink Business Credit Cards
Ink Business Premier® Credit Card
Best for Welcome Bonus
Ink Business Premier® Credit Card was launched in December of 2021. It’s a charge card, which means you pay your balance in full every month, although some purchases do qualify for pay over time. It offers 2.5% cash back on purchases over $5,000 and 2% on purchases under that amount. One odd quirk of this card is that although it does earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you can’t transfer the points to Chase’s travel partners. This makes them much less flexible and possibly less valuable than the points you earn with other Chase cards.
Rewards:
Welcome Offer: Earn $1,000 bonus cash back after you spend $10,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
Annual Fee: $195

That’s because it pays 3x points on the first $150,000 spent each anniversary year in the following categories:

What is the Best Chase Ink Business Credit Card?
So which of these offers is best for you? That depends on what you need.
The key to deciding is to ignore the signup bonuses for a moment. Instead, work through the following questions:
- Will you take advantage of the 5% and 2% rewards cards of the Ink Business Cash? If yes, this card makes a lot of sense.
- Will you travel a lot or advertise online? If the answer is yes to either, the Ink Business Preferred card is the way to go.
- If you answer yes to both questions above, then I’d get both cards. You can then transfer the points you earn from the Ink Business Cash over to the Ink Business Preferred and get the 25% bonus on travel booked through Chase Travel(SM).
- If you answer no to the above three questions, the flat 1.5% cash back of the Ink Business Unlimited is probably the best card.
Whatever you decide, it’s important to earn the bonus if you can.
