Best Chase Business Credit Cards (2024)

best Chase business credit cards

I started my first business in 2008. One of the first things I did was get a business credit card for the rewards and expense tracking. Today, two of the three cards I carry for my companies come from Chase. In this article, I share what I believe to be the best Chase business credit cards available today, along with some solid alternatives.

3 Best Chase Business Credit Cards

Chase offers both Chase-branded cards and co-branded travel business credit cards. The two I carry are the Business Preferred and Business Unlimited cards, both of which have more than met my company’s needs. In truth, all of the Chase Ink business credit cards are excellent options.

Ink Business Premier® Credit Card

Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card Review

This is the Chase business card I’ve carried the longest. I applied for the card to handle all of my company’s online advertising costs. Earning 3 points per $1 spent on advertising (subject to a spending cap) adds thousands of dollars a year to my business’s bottom line.

What is the Best Chase Business Card for International Travel?

If your business takes you overseas, you want to consider two key factors when selecting a card.

First, you want a credit card that doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee. In the case of the Chase-branded business cards, the two that have no foreign transaction fee are the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card and the Ink Business Premier® Credit Card. Between these two cards, the Business Preferred card gives you a 25% points bonus when you redeem points for travel through Chase.

All of the co-branded airline and hotel cards also do not charge foreign transaction fees. And this brings us to the second consideration–how you travel.

If you regularly stay in the same hotel and fly the same airlines offered by one of Chase’s co-branded cards, that may be the best option. If, like me, you don’t stick with the same travel partners, one of the two Chase-branded business cards with no foreign transaction fee is best.

What Travel Partners Does Chase Offer for Point Transfers?

Transfer partnerTransfer ratio
Aer Lingus Aerclub1:1
Air Canada Aeroplan1:1
British Airways Executive Club1:1
Emirates Skywards1:1
Flying Blue Air France KLM1:1
World of Hyatt points1:1
IHG Rewards Club1:1
Iberia Plus1:1
JetBlue TrueBlue1:1
Marriott Bonvoy1:1
Singapore Airlines Krisflyer1:1
Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards1:1
United MileagePlus1:1
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club1:1

Keep in mind that Chase’s travel partners and the points transfer ratio can change. Confirm the terms and conditions of points transfers with Chase before initiating a point transfer.

Also, remember that there are only three Chase cards that can transfer points to travel partners: Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card (Source: Chase). You can, however, transfer Ultimate Rewards earned from other Chase cards to any one of these three cards, and then transfer the points to a travel partner. I’ve used this strategy for points earned from the Unlimited card that I carry.

What is the Best Chase Business Card for a New Business?

For an entrepreneur just starting out, I like the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card. It doesn’t charge an annual fee, and it offers elevated rewards in several categories that most new businesses can use. In addition, the signup bonus spend requirement is not too onerous.

What is the Best Chase Business Credit Card for a Small Business?

For a small business including freelancers, my favorite option is the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card. It doesn’t charge an annual fee and pays a solid rewards rate on all purchases. It doesn’t offer elevated rewards in select categories, but its base rate is higher than the Ink Business Cash. For a small business without significant expenses, this card is an excellent choice.

How do Chase Business Credit Cards Compare to Capital One?

Capital One offers some excellent business credit cards that compete with Chase. I’ve carried the Capital One Spark Cash Plus for years. It serves as my backup card for all expenses that don’t qualify for higher rewards on my Chase business credit cards. You’ll also find a comparison of two of the top cards from both issuers: Chase Business Ink Premier vs Capital One Spark Cash Plus. For travel, it’s worth checking out the Capital One Venture X Business.

As for co-branded business travel cards, Capital One doesn’t offer them. If you are looking for a business airline or hotel card, Chase and American Express have excellent options.

How do Chase Business Cards Compare to American Express?

American Express business credit cards are arguably the biggest competitor with Chase. They offer both Amex-branded cards and co-branded cards. For the co-branded cards, the best option largely depends on what travel partners your company prefers. American Express offers cards with Marriott, Hilton, and Delta. Chase partners with IHG, United, Hyatt, and Southwest.

As for the Chase and American Express non-co-branded cards, the best option will largely turn on whether you prefer the Chase or Amex points system. Amex is known for unparalleled customer service, while Chase cards may offer more rewards.

Bottom Line

Chase business credit cards provide a wide range of rewards and features that are beneficial for small businesses. Personally, I have been using these cards for several years and have been more than satisfied with the benefits they offer.
