What is the Best Capital One Business Credit Card?
The best choice among Capital One’s business credit cards will vary from one business to the next. The key factors are where your business spends money and how you plan to redeem the rewards. If your goal is cash back and you don’t travel a lot of business, the Capital One Spark Cash Plus would be my first choice. It offers excellent rewards and a welcome bonus for a reasonable annual fee.
If you do travel frequently and plan to redeem your miles for travel, then the Capital One Venture X Business would be the card I’d choose. It offers the highest rewards, the best welcome offer, and again for a reasonable annual fee.
Finally, if you just want a credit card to track expenses and hate annual fees, the Capital One Spark Cash Select would be my choice. It has no annual fee, yet still comes with an excellent welcome offer and ongoing rewards.
How do Capital One Business Credit Cards Compare with Chase Business Cards?
While both Capital One and Chase offer business credit cards with comparable rewards, benefits, and fees, there are at least two important differences.
- Co-branded Cards: Chase business cards include several airline and hotel co-branded cards, in addition to the Chase brand Ink business credit cards. Capital One does not offer co-branded business cards.
- Transfer Partners: The hotel and airline transfer partners are different for Capital One than they are Chase. While I carry both Capital One and Chase business cards, I find Chase’s travel partners to be more useful. They include United and Marriott. Capital One’s travel partners seem to be better aimed at overseas partners.
How do Capital One Business Credit Cards Compare with Amex Business Cards?
As with Chase, American Express offers its own brand of business credit cards as well as co-branded cards. Amex has relationships with Marriott, Hilton, and Delta. As such, it offers different travel partners for points transfers. What’s best for your business will turn on the travel partners that are important to you.
Another key difference relates to credits and travel perks. Some Amex business cards, such as the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express and the American Express® Business Gold Card offer a wide range of credits that can more than cover the annual fee. And Amex offers travel benefits and services that are second to none.
Bottom Line
Capital One offers its own brand of business credit cards. These cards offer a wide range of rewards, signup bonuses, perks, and benefits for business owners. If you are still undecided, check out our list of the best business credit cards or the best signup bonuses from business cards.
